Ballard Oil Company is a federally regulated marine fueling facility. Our facility has strict security guidelines mandated by the federal government and enforced by the United States Coast Guard. The Marine Security Directives are posted and state the current MARSEC level directed by the Department of Homeland Security. The MARSEC level determines the security procedures related to vessel stores and personnel screening and admittance to the facility. All commercial vessels are encouraged to give 24 hours advance notice prior to fueling. Both the United States Coast Guard and the Washington State Department of Ecology require certain fueling procedures for commercial vessels.
